Color Me House Review

Color Me House was founded by April McCray, a loving mother to 3 cute kids and a self-proclaimed health crusader. She was inspired by her passion for creativity and her husband’s memories of building forts out of boxes. She also wanted something that was safe for children to play with. It was this inspiration and desire that led April to create the Color Me House and the Color Me Rocket. April says, “I think that everyone has memories of building forts and playing in boxes. Often the boxes are even more fun that the gift itself! Those memories always bring a smile to our hearts.” You are SO right April! My kids have WAY more fun with the boxes than they do the gifts. In fact I used to joke with my husband that all we should get the kids for their birthdays and Christmas was large boxes.

colormehouse mMy children had the opportunity to review the Color Me House Rocket. It took me about 5-10 minutes to set it up and in no time my children were going crazy with their crayons. While setting it up my little guy was squealing and couldn’t wait to play inside of the new fort. If you’ve ever wanted to see a truly happy two year old, give him a crayon and then tell him it’s okay to color on the new toy. It was hysterical and he made sure to color on every part of the box he could reach. My daughter, who’s 8, very methodically planned out where and what she would color. It was so much fun to watch them play for hours and not get bored. Not only did they have a blast coloring the rocket but they have had SO much fun playing inside and making up stories.

The Color Me House and Color Me Rocket would be perfect for rainy days inside or even to play with outside and looking at our rocket I can’t help but think about what an amazing party activity this would be. My son is turning 3 in July and I think the Color Me House would be so much for the the little ones coming to his party. The great thing about the Color Me House and the Color Me Rocket is that the kids aren’t limited to what they can design or color, it’s completely left up to them and their imaginations. They could turn their house into a fort, a restaurant, a fire station.. it’s their own little “secret hideaway” where they can play and just be creative. This is definitely one toy that your children will have fond memories of playing with!

colormehouse rocket What I love the most about the Color Me House Rocket that we have is that when the kids are done playing with it I can take it apart easily and the pieces are flat so storing it will be easy. This is the strongest and most durable cardboard I’ve ever seen which is nice because I don’t have to worry about my destructive little two year old ruining it. Color Me House is getting 2 thumbs up from me! I’m so impressed to find such an awesome company with a playhouse that encourages creativity and pretend play.

colormehousereview eDon’t forget to be here Sunday Night on March 1st for the Keeper of the Cheerios Blogoversary party to have the chance to win your choice of the Color Me House or the Color Me Rocket for your little ones!
