Did you know that every 40 minutes a wish is granted to a child with a life-threatening medical condition by the Make-A-Wish Foundation? I’m a HUGE fan of Make-A-Wish! What they do for children is absolutely amazing. Betty Crocker has partnered with Make-A-Wish and through the Stirring Up Wishes program, Betty Crocker will be working with Make-A-Wish chapters throughout the country to grant wishes for deserving children. More children will recieve a much deserved wish- something that will bring them joy and tremendous happiness in a time that they most need it.
As part of Stirring Up Wishes, Betty Crocker has launched a spring promotion called 12 Wishes in 12 Weeks. Betty Crocker is giving each Make-A-Wish chapter the chance to receive funding for one of 12 wishes it’s granting to Make-A-Wish this spring. The best part is that we can help by voting for our local Make-A-Wish chapters. We can vote daily until May 25th, 2009! Which I plan on doing because the more votes we can help our local chapters get the better the chances that they will get a wish granted by Betty Crocker. Voting is easy! This is such a simple way to help make a big difference for your local Make-A-Wish chapter.. and such an easy way to help make a HUGE difference in the life of a child that may live near you. So rally your friends, your family, even your co-workers and visit Betty Crocker’s Stirring Up Wishes website and get your votes in.
Every week for the remainder of the 12 weeks I’ll be posting a new child’s wish story and a great recipe from Betty Crocker and I’ll be reminding you all to VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! You can also find the new wish stories and recipes as well as the previous stories and recipes on Betty Crocker’s Stirring Up Wishes website .

This is a wonderful thing to do. I know a child who was granted a wish before his death and it made a big difference in the quality of the time he had left on this earth.
Make a Wish is wonderful. They gave us a trip to Disney World (which is what both my kiddies wanted)when my son was sick with cancer. Memories that will last a lifetime, let me tell you.r
Cool, thanks for sharing!
I have wanted to become a part of this awesome foundation. When our little guy had severe food allergies and Eczema (thank you Lord that it was not life threatening) we had to make several visits to a children’s hospital. It was there that we saw many sick little one’s and it broke our hearts. We were very impressed also with the Ronald McDonald house and what it stands for. These organzations are so important in helping those in need. Thankfully our little guy has improved greatly now that he is on Vidazorb probiotics. I am all about trying to make a difference through our experiences. Thank you, Caroline *mommy of two
