Easter in our home

maddieastereggpicThis was definitely the most relaxed Easter we’ve ever had. I started buying for the kids’ Easter baskets months ago so I was able to watch for sales or clearance for the items I was hoping to put into their baskets and because I did it so gradually it didn’t really hurt the checkbook which was really nice. Baskets, candy, toys and all I spent a total of $22 on my son and $28 on my daughter. and I actually spent less than that because my step father-in-law sent the kids $5 each so I put that towards their baskets, too. I got some AWESOME deals! Like the $7.50 gift set I found at Target on clearance that included a High School Musical Nintendo DS game, a HSM Nintendo DS case, a glittery DS stylus pen, and a few accessories.

We spent Easter morning watching the kids play with their Easter baskets and then we rushed around to get ready for church (we’re almost always late so it’s nothing new). After church we came home, I tried to take a few pictures of the kids but as usual I couldn’t get a very nice picture of the two of them together…

I finally gave up since every picture turned out much like this one and we decided to head in and eat some lunch. Afterwards we took the kids outside for a good old fashioned egg hunt and a little play time.
We topped our day off with a DiGiorno pizza and a little cuddling on the couch with the kiddos while watching Netflix. Not the most glamorous holiday I suppose but it’s as good as it gets with two crazy little kids. It was perfectly imperfect but very much enjoyed by all! I hope you all had an amazing Easter!
