Sid the Science Kid is Getting the Kids Excited About Earth Day!

As most of you know, Earth Day is tomorrow. Me and my kids are really looking forward to planting our favorite fruits and veggies tomorrow after school so having the chance to watch the Sid the Science Kid Earth Day special was really interesting for them as it was all about “The Dirt on Dirt.” We have really enjoyed watching Sid the Science Kid since it began airing last year. While Sid the Science Kid is a great show for the preschool age group, my eight year loves it because she’s very into science and often asks questions the way that Sid does. My two year old loves it because of the bright happy characters and the fun music. I’ve been impressed since day one that there is a show that holds the interest of both of my kids and is also educational… and it just doesn’t get much cuter than Sid the Science Kid either. Sid the Science Kid’s “The Dirt on Dirt” is part of “PBS KIDS Share the Earth Day” and will answer questions such as “what is in the dirt?” and also talks about the different types of dirt. I really like that it gets kids thinking about doing things that are Earth friendly such as picking up trash they find in the soil and recycling it.. that’s simple and something that our young ones can definitely do. You’ll definitely want to tune into PBS KIDS tomorrow so be sure to check your local listings for times. Just in time for Earth Day is also a great Sid the Science Kid Earth Day website for parents and teachers where you can find printable coloring pages, jokes, experiments, and lots more! This is a great opportunity for some quality time with the kiddos and a wonderful chance to teach them ways that they can make a difference. I hope you all have an awesome Earth Day with your children tomorrow!
