bloglovetop10image21School is almost out and it’s time to start getting ready for the lazy days of Summer. This week’s Blog Love Top 10 Friday is the best summer fun ideas and craft tutorials from around the blogosphere.

  • Ever have problems with your outdoor tablecloths trying to blow around? Make and Takes has a solution for that problem with their quick and easy Outdoor Tablecloth Hack.
  • Are your kids bored already? Send them outside to do this fun nature match activity that I found at No Time for Flash Cards.
  • My kids go through clothing like crazy during the Summer. Occasionally I like to take the clothes that have been destroyed and try to salvage them into something that my kids can wear again. The Artful Parent has a simple tutorial on turning your daughter’s t-shirts into really cute dresses.
  • The Object Project has an awesome tutorial for making Ice Cream Cone Cozies. Gone are the days of icky, sticky, and messy summer evening ice cream cones.. now that mess lands in the cozy and can go straight into the washer!
  • FINALLY! Some tasty homemade frozen Apple Pops. I can’t wait to try these out with my kids. While you’re visiting Meal Planning Mommies be sure to check out their meal planning instructions, toddler meal and snack ideas, frugal meals, and more! This is a really helpful site for those of us on a tight grocery budget.
  • Alpha+Mom has an easy to follow tutorial on making Spring Flower Pinwheels. My kids LOVE pinwheels so we’re definitely going to have to try making these ourselves. These would also be GREAT to make as party favors.. you could pick your paper to match your theme! In fact I think I’ll make some of these for my son’s party favor bags for his birthday in July.
  • If you’re planning any kind of party this Summer Creative Parties & Showers is THE blog to check out! You’ll find all kinds of inspiration for your party planning- including ideas for birthday parties, baby showers, 1st birthdays, and soon they should have party ideas rolling in for the 4th of July.. I can’t wait! I seriously can’t stop looking through this blog, there’s so much to take in and SO many ideas!
  • Homemade ice cream is so yummy and you don’t even need an ice cream maker to make it! Skip to my Lou has instructions on How to Make Ice Cream in a Bag and How to Make Ice Cream in a Coffee Can.
  • Are you busy making Summer plans? Organizing Your Way has a great article on planning Summer schedules for your school-age kids.
  • FaveCrafts.com has 7 fun projects for making your plain old flip flops dazzle.
