My Blogging Words of Wisdom
It’s taken me a year to really figure out my “blogging philosophy” but my words of wisdom are this:
Blog when you’re sad.
But NEVER blog when you’re angry.”
~Miranda K.
It’s a really bad idea to blog when you’re angry. It makes you look bad and you don’t want to be remembered as the mean girl who can’t control her emotions. Your readers don’t visit your blog to make their blood pressure spike. But with that being said, showing happy and sad emotions (in small quantities) can be a good thing.. your readers can connect with those emotions. I completely abide by this when I blog and I never come near my keyboard when I’m angry or upset with another blogger.Related posts:

I grabbed your button. you can visit it at myfourmonkeys.com. I’m not sure that I have a blogging philosophy, but clean and family friendly is a must.
interesting philosophy. I blog about anything…good, bad, sad…you name it, and I think I’ve had a few angry posts thrown in..oh well!
pretty good philosophy! I just had a conversation with my son this week about not writing things you may want to take back.
I most definitely blog when I’m mad, but I try to sprinkle my angry posts with a little bit of sarcasm and humor that way I don’t seem as “angry” as I really am.
I have never regretted one of my own blog posts (yet).
My hubby would tease me when I started blogging, “blog like no one is reading” a play off my daughter’s dance studio motto, “dance as if no one was watching.”
It’s actually pretty cool, I honestly blog (on my main site) for my own therapy…having readers is a bonus!
Calling people or companies out on your blog and bashing them well is tacky. Sure it’s okay to vent, leave names off. If people know who you ar talking about without names then that should say a lot in and of itself.
Blog for yourself not for anyone else. Don’t think about “competition” because really there is none unless you make someone your competition.
Blog whatever you are feeling but don’t necessarily always publish it.
