JumpStart Review & Giveaway
We were recently given the chance to become members of JumpStart and test out the website. The company behind JumpStart, Knowledge Adventure, has been around more than 15 years. Starting out with educational CD games they’ve since launched JumpStart; A magical world where children can discover new games, videos, and stories. They have so many fun things for the kids to do throughout the JumpStart virtual world that my daughter still hasn’t made it through every single thing. She’s discovering new things that she missed all the time but JumpStart will be adding lots of new games, features and portals throughout the year so there’s lots of new things to be discovered.
I’ve been a huge fan of JumpStart since my daughter was about 4 years old and we first started playing their educational and fun games. Our elementary school actually uses JumpStart in it’s curriculum for computer classes and it’s easy to see why. JumpStart is intended for children ages 3-10 and I really enjoy the fact that with JumpStart I was able to set up game characters (also known as Jumpeez) and information for each of my children (ages 8 and 3). It’s nice to have one website that makes computer time fun for both of their age groups. I do sit down and help my son as he’s not quite computer savvy as of yet but we have a lot of fun together and he really enjoys watching the videos and listening to the stories. My daughter however loves to play the harder games but also enjoys the easier games as well. She’s also very competitive and loves to try and beat some of the high scores on the games.

During these lazy summer months our kids could all use a little refresher and JumpStart makes that really easy and fun. Not only are the characters in JumpStart colorful and engaging but the games teach children everything from math to reading in a fun way that makes them WANT to play and learn. It’s so much fun I think they forget that it’s actually educational.
