A Halloween Treat Idea! Candy Coated Pretzel Rods

candy coated pretzel rods

Need an easy to make and fun to eat treat for the kids? Try my candy-covered pretzel rods for your Halloween get-together! These are also easy to change up colors and make for any holiday. All you need is:

pretzel rods

almond bark

concentrated icing coloring (optional- I used a bright green)

sprinkles

waxed paper

Melt enough almond bark to be able to coat the amount of pretzels that you need. If you haven’t worked with almond bark before just be cautious not to overcook or burn it. Stir often. When melted stir in 1-2 small drops of the concentrated food coloring (optional), don’t use more or you’ll change the consistency of your almond bark. Dip all of your pretzels half way and place on the waxed paper, sprinkle with your colored sprinkles generously and allow to cool and harden or to make the process go even faster place your candy covered pretzels in the fridge to cool and harden.
