Reminiscing; My Pregnancy

I was looking through some of my old photos today in my photobucket albums and came across pictures from my pregnancy with my son. I love these pictures.. in spite of the fairly consistent bed rest, the twice daily injections, the bruising, the all-day-long-morning-sickness, and twice weekly doctors appointments.. these were moments I wouldn’t trade for anything. Such precious memories because as cruddy as that all was it led to the birth of my son.

Here I am at 16 weeks (in 2006)..

Here I am at 24 weeks…

The world’s proudest soon-to-be big sister…

I have ultrasound pictures from 6 weeks on of my son but these two have always been my favorites..

nine times out of ten this was how he was laying when it was time for an ultrasound. I don’t see how he was comfortable like this but even when he had room to move this was his preferred method of lounging around in there. But week after week he made it nearly impossible to see his face due to his crazy positions and the way he was turned. This was the closest we ever got to a face picture during ultrasounds.

And this one I loved because I could see his little hand.. and count all five of his sweet little fingers. Isn’t it precious? And no, he didn’t have a hole in his head in case you’re wondering. It was just something to do with the ultrasound machine and the way it captured images and the way my son was laying (my doctor explained it much better than I can)..

Don’t you just love looking through your old photographs? It’s funny how much we begin to forget until we see these old photos. It’s the little things we see in these photos that remind us of how we felt that day or during those times and the memories are priceless.
