Potty Training? WIN a Boon Potty Bench and 2 books; The Princess Potty & The Pirate Potty!
I’ve been gradually getting my son used to using a potty chair. I’ve been patient.. but those diapers are getting spendy and they’ve got to go! When I return next week from my trip to Nashville, TN for Blissdom I’ll be buckling down and toilet training my son. I’ve tried everything; charts, stickers, candy, the usual potty training bribes us moms normally use when we’re desperate. Books work well with my son and this past week he’s been loving his new “Pirate Potty” book. Pirate Potty, written by Samantha Berger and illustrated by Amy Cartwright, is a really fun book that is perfect for reading to little boys who are ready to begin their potty training adventures. The story is so cute and fun to read making it engaging for young children. The pictures are bright, colorful, and fun to look at. Something that I think is great about this book is that while it’s already a great potty training tool, it also comes with a punch-out pirate hat you put together so your son can be a potty pirate too when he’s being a big boy and using the potty. When they go potty you get to reward your little pirate with the fun stickers that are also included in the Pirate Potty book. My three year old son loves his Pirate Potty book and won’t let anyone touch it unless we’re reading it to him. Starting next week my little guy is going to be a potty pirate and I think he’s going to LOVE the pirate hat idea!
Maybe you aren’t potty training a little pirate.. maybe you’re potty training a princess. Princess Potty is the girl verson of the new Scholastic potty books. Written and illustrated by the same women that put together Pirate Potty, the story is just as fun and the pictures are full of everything a little princess loves; A princess, TONS of pink, purples, and pretty pictures full of all things girly. The Princess Potty book also comes with a punch-out tiara for your little girl and stickers to be used as an award for going potty. The stickers are actually “jewels” so your daughter can add jewels to her tiara each time she goes potty on the big-girl potty.
BOOK SYNOPSIS: Both books provide a helpful, step-by-step story that introduces girls & boys to the concept of toilet training. Pirate Potty is a pirate-themed, toilet-training book that is fit for the little swashbuckler in your life! Includes a pirate’s hat and reward stickers! Princess Potty follows the same theme…a toilet-training book that is fit for the Royal Highness in your life! This book includes tiara and reward stickers!
Both Pirate Potty and Princess Potty are fun and unique books. At only $5.99, it’s a great deal on such an excellent toilet training book. Every little preschool aged princess or pirate that is getting ready to potty train should have a copy to make the learning process more fun. This is a fun way to encourage children to use the potty.

It has been many years since I had to deal with potty training, but I would like to win this for my daughter, since my grandson will soon be starting the process. As for tips, the best one is not to obsess over it. This does NOT mean do not start until they are ready to start school though!
I am currently potty training my 2 year old, and the thing that has worked best for us so far is a reward chart! Thanks for the chance!

Just because their friends are potty trained doesn’t mean they are ready. Don’t rush it.
I haven’t started to potty train my daughter yet (she’s 1), so I don’t have any tips, but I’ve introduced her to the idea of the toilet by showing her the toilet being flushed and we wave bye-bye at the water that goes down. I figure it’s a good idea for her to at least get used to the flushing.

We let our girls go bare-butt for a few days – that did the trick!
I’m potty training my son now and what encourages him the most to use the potty is the praise he gets after.. He loves the clapping and high fives we give each other!

I haven’t started potty training my son yet (but it’s coming in the next few months!) I’m worried that I won’t be able to get him potty trained by preschool (it’s a requirement that he’s trained before enrolling!)

My nephew & his girlfriend will start potty training their little girl soon. I fear my sister-in-law will cause problems simply because she likes to teach the little girl to be contrary to her parents.
Thanks for the giveaway >^..^<

My concern with potty training is patience.
We did a little early potty training when Wiggle Bean was 9 months and she was doing great but then I slacked off because daycare would not keep it up. I think we are going to try again soon. We started with learning the ASL sign for potty then would take her in there at specific times

Tip… If you have a boy get the Peter Potty it will help A LOT… otherwise, I’m at a loss of what to do for my daughter that will be starting potty training soon…
I’m going to be training my son in a few months and am concerned about
how long the process takes. He seems somewhat stubborn so I worry that
he is going to be defiant. tylerpants{at}gmail.com

I let my son take his favorite stuffed animal to the potty, and a book or two so he spends a little extra time trying.
I don’t have any tips yet. My biggest concern is to find the best training method and actually have it work well!

My concern is that she doesn’t know a whole lot of words yet, so it’ll be hard to communicate how the potty should work and what she’s supposed to do. We’re just taking it really slow and trying to make it fun and new.
With my son a treat every time he successfully used the toilet worked practically immediately. I was surprised and am very proud!
My concern is when knowing the proper time for starting potty training is.

I am potty-training my 21 month old daughter and she only “goes” once a week or so, but is interested in the potty and points at her diaper after she goes. I just need to find out how to get her to tell me before she goes
